A large number of different GPS were discovered during the clearance of the territory for the construction of a new logistics center in the Leningrad region.

The staff of the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Special Works, during the complex of measures to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment on the territory of the construction site, discovered and subsequently destroyed more than 400 units of explosive objects.
Work on the inspection and cleaning of the territory from unexploded shells and mines of the Great Patriotic War took place in the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region near the urban-type settlement of Krasny Bor.
This location is an area with a high degree of mine danger, as fierce battles took place here during the Second World War, and despite the cleaning of these territories in the Soviet years, various kinds of shells and ammunition are periodically found here.
Mainly among the detected explosives are artillery and mortar shells, field rocket artillery shells, as well as several anti–tank mines.

The organization of work to clean up the area from the SOP on these land plots is due to the high degree of probability of finding unexploded shells, bombs, other ammunition and their components from the Great Patriotic War.
From archival information, it is known for certain about active hostilities during the Krasnoborsk operation of the Second World War within the framework of actions of the 55th Army of the Leningrad Front in two offensive operations on February 10 — 27 and March 19 — April 2, 1943.
